Chapter History

Chapter History

The Epsilon Theta chapter was founded on February 28, 1987.

Since our founding nearly 30 years ago, we have created an organization that prides itself on its sisterly bonds, campus involvement, and academics.

Academics

Epsilon Theta values its members education and strives to promote good study habits! A number of sisters have been on the Dean's List and many of our sisters have presented scientific research, papers, and essays at the annual Liberal Arts and Sciences Symposium here at Oglethorpe.

Campus Involvement

Our sisters not only participate in other campus organizations; they often lead them as well. Such activities include Student Government Association, Oglethorpe Theatre, Alpha Psi Omega, Phi Delta Epsilon, Oglethorpe Athletics,  Mu Phi Epsilon and Alpha Phi Omega—to name a few. The Office of Campus Life  also has Sigmas serving as Orientation Leaders and Resident Assistants, so you are guaranteed to run into a Sigma during your first few weeks as a freshman.

Sisterhood

By embracing our values and supporting each other every day, we continue to foster a sisterhood of love and belonging. It is through these bonds that we empower each other to succeed in collegiate life and strive toward our national vision to change the world.
